Before is a free tool that brings together public information about a property's area, to help you decide whether to rent it. By using Before you agree to these terms.

A guide, not a guarantee

Before shows information from other organisations: security reports from OpenWatch, a flood model from Lagos Flood Check, addresses from Google Maps and OpenStreetMap, and LGA boundaries from the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

Always visit the property, talk to neighbours, and see the landlord's proof of ownership before you pay anything. You are responsible for the decisions you make. Before is not liable for them.

Address search is provided by Google Maps. By using it, you agree to be bound by the Google Maps Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Fair use

Don't use Before to collect data in bulk, run automated searches, or get around its limits. Connections that do may be blocked.
